Standfirm: Bible Reading

Standfirm is a structured daily Bible reading app built around the Daily Dependence reading system — a disciplined approach to reading through the whole Bible, not just the familiar parts.

READING PLANS Choose from five plans ranging from 2 to 6 chapters a day, five days a week. Every plan covers all of Scripture — Old Testament, New Testament, Gospels, Psalms, Proverbs — so nothing gets skipped. Start with Starter (2 chapters) and work up to Intensive (6 chapters) as the habit grows. Not sure where to start? The built-in quiz helps you choose.

GUIDED READING MODE Turn on Guided Reading for a step-by-step session format: read the passage, mark what stands out, then journal your response and prayer. Each step is coached with prompts drawn from tried and tested reading methods. Designed for people who want more than a checkbox.

QUESTIONS AND TIPS Optional AI-assisted reading help surfaces questions and insights for each passage — things to notice, things to sit with, things to pray through. Use them as a prompt or ignore them entirely. They stay out of the way until you want them.

REFLECT AS YOU READ Every passage has a notes section where you can highlight verses, write observations, and record your response. Notes are stored on your device and can be exported as Markdown any time.

LISTEN WHILE YOU READ Audio playback for each passage lets you listen and read at the same time, with verse-by-verse highlighting that follows along.

BUILT FOR CONSISTENCY Standfirm organises your reading into streams — parallel tracks that keep each part of the Bible moving forward together. The reading schedule is fixed to the calendar, so if you miss a day you can always find your way back.
