Shellton is a fast, persistent SSH and Mosh client built for people who actually use the terminal on iPhone.

EVERY DROPPED SESSION IS A BUG. Shellton tries Mosh first on every connection. Mosh survives Wi-Fi handoffs, dead zones, and locked-screen suspends — your prompt is still there when you come back. If the server doesn't have mosh-server installed, Shellton transparently falls back to SSH. No menus, no settings, just a connection that stays connected.

VOICE INPUT, ON-DEVICE. Tap the mic and dictate commands. Whisper runs entirely on your device — your audio never leaves your iPhone. Auto-insert mode pipes the transcript straight into the terminal so you can run a command without ever opening the keyboard.

KEYBOARD THAT WORKS FOR DEVELOPERS. A configurable accessory bar above the keyboard with modifier keys, arrow keys, and any custom escape sequence you can imagine. Build your own bars in-app or author them in YAML and import from Files.app (iCloud Drive, Dropbox, anywhere). Hyper, Meh, Kitty keyboard protocol, tmux prefix shortcuts — all there if you want them.

LIVE ACTIVITIES. Active SSH and Mosh sessions appear in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen. See connection status at a glance without unlocking your device.

FULL-SCREEN TERMINAL. A monospaced terminal that uses the entire screen, with Nerd Font glyphs, true color, terminal themes, and SwiftTerm under the hood. Choose from a curated set of themes or build your own.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOUR OWN. Shellton uses privacy-preserving product analytics to understand feature adoption and connection reliability. Events are not linked to your identity and never include hostnames, IP addresses, usernames, commands, terminal text, credentials, voice audio, transcripts, or raw errors. Analytics can be disabled at any time in Settings. There is no advertising or cross-app tracking. SSH keys live in the iOS Keychain, connections and themes remain local, and accessory-bar configuration can sync through your private iCloud container.
