StepMap

StepMap is a location-based fitness game that turns your daily walk into real-world territory. Every step you take grows your footprint on the map; every loop you close becomes a new patch of land you own.

WHY STEPMAP • Walking is no longer just step counting — set goals, draw routes, claim land. • Synced with Apple Watch and the Health app — no manual counters. • Fitness habits (streaks, pace, calories, daily goal) combined with game mechanics (territory ownership, emojis, teams). • Sign in with Apple or Google in five seconds and start walking.

THE CORE LOOP

1. Tap "Start" — your GPS marks the origin.
2. Walk and a live polyline draws behind you while your step counter ticks up in real time.
3. Return close to your starting point and the loop closes automatically.
4. The closed route becomes a polygon — your territory, pinned to the map.
5. Drop an emoji (cactus, rock, mountain, tree) onto it. The emoji's HP equals the steps you spent on that walk.

FITNESS FIRST • Daily step goal tracking (default 10,000 steps) • Streak counter — uninterrupted active days • Live pace (min/km) and calorie estimate • Weekly and monthly progress stats • Automatic data from Apple Watch and the Health app

GAME LAYER • Sign your territory with an emoji — other players can see it. • Encirclement (v2): draw a longer loop that fully contains someone's territory to take it over. • Tap-to-destroy (v2): repeatedly tap an enemy emoji to drain its HP and neutralize the territory.

TEAMS • Build a team of up to 20 walkers. • Choose before each walk: personal or team-attributed. • Team leaders see member stats and export them as CSV or JSON.

PREMIUM (Optional) • Premium unlocks one 48-hour territory shield per month on your newest capture. • Shielded territory can't be encircled or destroyed. • The free tier is fully playable — premium only adds the protective shield. • StepMap Premium is an auto-renewable monthly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase confirmation and renews automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. PRIVACY • Location is only read during an active walk. • Health data stays on your device and is never uploaded. • Social sign-in only — no passwords stored.
