Bridge your Concept2 PM5 Erg machine to any Bluetooth cycling app. Read power on one side, broadcast as a standard power meter on the other.
Erg Bridge turns your iPhone into a Bluetooth power-meter bridge. Read live power data from a Concept2 PM5 ergometer monitor on one side, broadcast it as a standard Bluetooth Cycling Power Service on the other — and any app that pairs with a Bluetooth power meter will see your iPhone as one.
USE YOUR ERGOMETER WITH ANY CYCLING APP
Rowers and stroke-based ergometers don't speak the language of cycling apps natively. Erg Bridge translates between them, cleanly: PM5's Bluetooth data goes in, a standard BLE Cycling Power Service with cadence comes out. The receiving app — on your Mac, PC, iPad, Apple TV, or any other device — sees this iPhone as a regular power meter.
HOW IT WORKS
- Open Erg Bridge and tap the PM5 chip at the top to pair with a nearby Concept2 PM5 monitor.
- On your receiving device, open your cycling app and pair "Erg Bridge" under Bluetooth power meter.
- Start moving — watts and cadence stream live to the receiving app.
CALIBRATION FOR FAIR RIDES
• A configurable scaling factor translates ergometer watts into cycling-equivalent watts.
• A handicap factor enables fair head-to-head sessions between riders of different abilities.
• Built-in Fair Race calculator derives matched handicaps from both riders' weights and personal-best times.
REQUIREMENTS
• iPhone or iPad running iOS 16 or later
• A Concept2 PM5 ergometer monitor (sold separately)
• A receiving app on a separate device (Mac, PC, iPad, Apple TV, etc.)
SUBSCRIPTION
Erg Bridge is free to try — 15 minutes of broadcasting per session at no charge. For unlimited broadcasting, choose:
• $0.99 / month — Erg Bridge Premium Monthly
• $4.99 / 6 months — Erg Bridge Premium Half-year
Both tiers are Family Shareable. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage in your Apple ID account settings.
RACE COMPATIBILITY
Some racing categories on indoor cycling platforms verify the manufacturer of the connected power meter against an allowlist of certified hardware. Erg Bridge broadcasts as a standard Bluetooth power meter but is not on those allowlists, so events that enforce specific hardware requirements may reject it. Free rides, training sessions, and most open races work normally.
FAIR PLAY
Erg Bridge exists so ergometer athletes can join indoor cycling rides and push themselves alongside cyclists. The power adjustments are a generic translation from ergometer effort into a pedaling-style profile — deliberately not tuned to flatter you, and not a perfect fit for everyone. Use it to train, have fun, and ride with others — not to post results above the effort you actually put in. Compete for the joy of it.
PRIVACY
Erg Bridge does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All data flows locally over Bluetooth between your iPhone and the devices you have paired. No accounts. No analytics. No third-party SDKs.
