Check beaches, rivers and bathing spots before you go, now with expanded official public data coverage across the U.S., Europe, Mexico, Taiwan and more.
Check beaches, rivers and bathing spots before you go.
Clean Water Radar helps you understand the latest available official public water-quality information for places where people swim, paddle, surf, walk or spend time by the water.
Use it to look up beaches, rivers and bathing waters, then read a plain-English place card with the public data currently available for that location. Where supported, Clean Water Radar combines bathing-water classifications, public warnings, rain or flood context, source freshness, confidence level and clear status wording.
It is built for beach days, wild swimmers, families, surfers, paddlers, holiday planning and anyone who wants a calmer way to check public water-quality information before heading out.
Clean Water Radar is expanding beyond the UK. The app now supports or is being prepared to support official public beach and bathing-water data for the USA, Taiwan, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic and Türkiye.
Key features:
Search beaches, rivers and bathing spots
View official public monitoring data where available
See public warnings, advisories or closures where supported
Understand source freshness and confidence level
Read conservative, plain-English water-quality summaries
Save favourite swim spots
Use regional refresh and shared public cache behaviour designed to avoid exact-location tracking language
Get clearer international coverage and search wording
Clean Water Radar Plus, where offered, adds more convenient saved-place and alert features for people who regularly check the same locations.
Important: Clean Water Radar does not guarantee that water is safe. Conditions can change quickly, and public source data may be delayed, incomplete, seasonal or based on annual classifications rather than current conditions. Always follow local signs, lifeguards, closures and official advice at the location.
Clean Water Radar is not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with any public authority. It presents official public data as guidance only.
