First Date is a private journal for your dating life - not a dating app. Use it alongside the dating apps you already have, or for people you meet in real life. It helps you remember who you are talking to, plan safer dates, and notice patterns without giving another social platform your private notes.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Every match, screenshot, reflection, and voice memo is kept in the app's local container on your device. There is no account, no server, and no sync. The app makes no network requests of its own. We do not run analytics SDKs, ad SDKs, or a dating profile network.

WHAT IT DOES

• Add the people you are talking to, including where you met, notes, interests, stage, and screenshots.
• Use on-device OCR to extract useful notes from dating-app screenshots.
• Generate conversation prompts in five tones: playful, curious, direct, vulnerable, and witty.
• Plan a date with venue details, address context, and optional walking-time lookup through Apple MapKit and one-shot location permission.
• Schedule safety check-ins and keep a trusted contact ready through a pre-filled SMS flow that the user controls.
• Read an offline date-safety guide that works with no signal.
• Use a fake-call escape screen when you need an easy exit.
• Capture post-date reflections with text, tags, ratings, and voice-memo transcripts.
• Flag matches who have gone quiet, on a threshold you choose.
• Review quick stats across your own dating history.

WHY IT IS NOT A DATING APP First Date does not match you with anyone, host a public profile, provide a feed, or message anyone for you. It is a personal reflection tool for people and dates you already know about.

ABOUT SAFETY The check-in feature notifies a contact you chose, by pre-filling a message that you send. It does not contact emergency services, does not share your live location, and is not a monitoring service. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.

FIRST DATE PRO The journal is free for your first 5 matches. Safety check-ins, the fake call, screenshot import, conversation prompts, and voice-memo reflections are free with no limit and stay that way. First Date Pro removes the 5-match cap, splits your own history by app, venue, pacing, chemistry, and follow-up, and writes narrative patterns once you have logged 10 matches. Monthly and yearly subscriptions are shown with Apple's localized prices in the purchase sheet and renew automatically until canceled in Apple ID Settings.
