From across the room it is a photograph. Up close it is your memories.

Tessera takes a photo that matters to you and rebuilds it out of the moments you live together. The photo is divided into forty regions, each standing for one experience. As you live that experience and add your photos, its region fills with your own pictures and the image slowly comes into focus.

HOW IT WORKS

You choose a target photo, and the app immediately shows you what the result will look like — before any sign-up, before any account.

Then forty experiences: watch a sunrise together, try a cuisine neither of you has eaten, go back to where you met, spend an evening with every screen off. Four each from ten themes.

Each experience asks for at least three photos. Not one, because one frame does not carry a memory: a wide shot, a detail, and one with both of you in it.

THE MOSAIC ACTUALLY WORKS

Which region a memory lands in is decided by color: your darker photos go to the darker parts of the target, lighter ones to the bright areas. The mosaic is built on your phone. No connection needed, no waiting.

Double-tap the mosaic or pinch it. Where you saw the target photo from a distance, your own frames appear as you get closer. Press and hold to compare against the original.

THE TWO OF YOU

Generate an invite code and bring your partner in. From then on the journey belongs to both of you: you both add photos to the same mosaic, and when one of you finishes an experience it appears on the other's phone. Every photo shows who added it.

FREE AND PREMIUM

The app is free. You can fill the first twenty memories of a journey without paying anything — roughly five months. Premium unlocks the remaining twenty, shared journeys with your partner, high-resolution export and unlimited journeys: monthly, yearly, or a one-time lifetime purchase.

If your subscription ends, the mosaic you have made stays yours. Premium unlocks adding more; it never takes away what you already built.

PRIVACY

Tessera works without an account, and in that mode none of your data reaches us: your journey, your memories and your photos stay on your device, and the mosaic is built there.

We only ask for an account for two things — backing up your journey and inviting your partner. If you choose those, your photos are stored on servers in Europe and only you and your partner can reach them. You can delete your account and everything in the cloud from inside the app at any time.

No ads, no selling data to third parties, no tracking.
