DietducateX

DietducateX is an application used to support the Obesity Prevention & Treatment through an Intervention Mobile App (OptimApp) research project. The app helps users or research participants record and monitor information related to nutrition, physical activity, and weight management.

Data that may be recorded or processed through the app includes account information, date of birth, sex, height, weight, waist circumference, food logs, water intake records, physical activity or exercise records, progress photos, and questions submitted through the nutritionist consultation feature.

This data is used to support app functions, help users sign in securely, calculate BMI, target BMI, and estimated energy needs, and monitor food intake, activity, and progress over time.

For OptimApp research participants, app data and related research data may be used to support the delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of the research project, including engagement, behaviour-change, and weight-management outcomes. Access to identifiable research data is limited to authorised research team members. Research findings are typically reported in anonymised, pseudonymised, or aggregated form.
