Mark works differently from most finance apps. You open it when your spending feels off. Write down what you spend for a week or two. Become aware as you go. Then put it away until you need it again.

No bank sync. No subscription. No push notifications. No background tracking. Mark does nothing unless you open it.

WHY IT WORKS

Knowing you have to write it down already changes what you spend. You're not forced — you become attentive. That's the whole mechanism. Mark doesn't measure anything. You observe yourself, with Mark as the notebook in your hand.

Mark sits in the tradition of Mindful Money: less measuring, more noticing. Making it visible changes things.

THE THREE SECTIONS

· Today — one number per day, a list of your entries. What did you spend today. Nothing more.

· All — what you spend on average per day, extrapolated to the month. You see, day by day, what adds up.

· Wishlist — what you want to buy waits at least a week. Not every wish lasts that long. Some disappear on their own. What stays was actually meant.

WHAT MARK DOESN'T DO

Mark doesn't measure. Mark doesn't track. Mark doesn't categorise. Mark doesn't connect to any bank account. Mark doesn't send push notifications. Mark doesn't reward you with streaks or points. Mark doesn't tell you what you're doing wrong.

None of that is missing — it's intentional. Other apps want you daily. Mark wants you to understand when you need it, and when you don't.

EXCEPTIONS

Not every expense is everyday. A birthday gift, a repair, a utility bill — you can mark those as exceptions. They show up in your list but don't count toward your daily average. So the extrapolation stays honest.
