KraalBook is a livestock record-keeping and compliance app built for South African farmers running cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. Built around the foot-and-mouth-disease (FMD) routine vaccination requirements in Government Gazette 54605 (May 2026), KraalBook makes audit-ready record-keeping something a stockman can do in a few taps at the crush.

WORKS OFFLINE, EVERY TIME The kraal has no signal — so KraalBook saves every record to your phone instantly and syncs to the cloud automatically when you are back in coverage. Capture for days offline. Browsing your herd and reviewing past stock counts work offline too.

SCAN OR SEARCH ANY ANIMAL Works with standard RFID ear-tag readers (ISO 11784/11785, USB or Bluetooth keyboard mode) — or find any animal by typing part of its tag, breed, colour or camp. No special hardware required.

CAPTURE EVERY EVENT IN THE FIELD Record births, purchases, vaccinations, medicine treatments, weigh-ins, movements between camps, sick reports, pregnancy checks, RFID re-tagging, sales and deaths. Each event lands on the animal's fact sheet — its full life history on one screen.

FMD VACCINATION COMPLIANCE Record each dose with batch number, fridge temperature (cold-chain), vaccine expiry and authorised vet. The Compliance tile shows your herd at a glance — how many head are current, due soon, or overdue — and the Vaccination register & cold-chain report is your audit-ready proof.

TREATMENT & WITHDRAWAL TRACKING Log medicine given to one or many animals with the withdrawal period. KraalBook then warns you before you sell or slaughter an animal whose meat or milk is not yet safe, and lists every animal still inside a withdrawal period with its clear date.

STOCK THEFT ACT DOCUMENTS Generate the Section 6 / Section 8 removal certificate as a branded PDF for both auction and private sales — complete with your farm brand, GLN and buyer details — and share it straight to WhatsApp or email.

THEFT & SHRINKAGE Run a stock count (full muster or quick headcount) on any camp to find exactly which animals are missing. The Theft & shrinkage report flags stock that should be in a camp but was not found.

HERD RECORDS & REPORTS Browse your whole herd by species and category. Filter by sex, category and camp to answer "how many of each do I have?". The Reports tab is built automatically from what you capture — no extra data entry — and includes:
