ella - gendered noun practice

For those learning a Romance language, noun genders and articles can be frustrating. There is no way to know them except to memorize them, but your regular language learning apps are too scattered-- they have no way to focus or drill these concepts for common nouns. Instead, you fumble through noun genders and articles while trying to focus on speaking, grammar, or writing. This is scattered and inefficient.

This isn't how you learned your first language and it's not how you will learn your next one. You learned by (1) listening, (2) speaking, and (3) practicing mechanics--likely in school!

You aren't in school anymore, so you need a focused framework for practicing those mechanics. That's exactly why we made ella: focused practice. This is not another scattered "do it all" language app. This is not a "you'll be fluent in [x] months" platform. Those apps over-promise, over-charge, and under-deliver. And that's not our model. We are focused on clean mechanics so you can get on with speaking, reading, and writing.

The ella app contains approximately 800 nouns (with more being added routinely). Nouns are broken down by category, and each noun contains singular and plural formats, with definite and indefinite articles.
