Zen Mastery & Mindful Play
From mud, the lotus rises. Each move finds its place.
Lotus Blocks is a calm block puzzle on an 8x8 grid. Place pieces, clear lines, earn
mastery. No timer. No lives. No leaderboard to climb. Just you, the board, and the quiet
satisfaction of each line that falls away.
Pick up a piece. Find where it belongs. Set it down. When a full row or column is filled,
it clears — and if you chain multiple clears in one move, a combo begins. The music shifts.
Something opens.
— HOW TO PLAY —
You receive three blocks each turn. Drag and drop them onto the board. Fill any complete
row or column and it clears. Chain multiple clears in one move to build a combo — your
score multiplier rises, the rhythm layer in the music lifts. When no piece fits the
available space, the round ends. Regroup. Begin again.
A hidden system called Board Heat quietly deepens the block mix as you score higher —
never announced, only felt. The first moves of every new game are always gentle.
— WHY LOTUS BLOCKS —
— Komorebi-Bungu Aesthetic —
Every surface in Lotus Blocks draws from Japanese Bungu (文具) — stationery craft. The board
frame is hinoki wood. The cards are washi paper. The palette is cream, sakura, matcha, sora,
and yuzu. This is not a game that shouts for your attention.
— Mastery Progression —
Your rank never resets between games. You begin as a Sakura apprentice and — over your
lifetime as a player — advance through Hagi, Kiku, Ume, toward Komorebi mastery. Every rank
advancement is permanent. At levels 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30, rare cosmetics drop: board
frames, themes, avatars, and music tracks that cannot be purchased in the shop.
Three Abilities
Earn Stars through skilled play — Perfect Moves, Combo crescendos, All-Clears — then
spend them on three abilities:
• Rotate — turn a block to fit where it needs to go
• Reroll — refresh all three pieces at once
• Wind — clear a 3x3 area of the board in one breath
Abilities can be upgraded with Gems, letting you expand Wind's radius or add extra
slots to Reroll. Your skill tree grows with you.
— Wooden Chest and Stamp Collection —
When you meet certain board conditions, a Wooden Chest appears among the pieces. Collect it
to receive a sealed envelope containing a vintage postage stamp. Three full stamp sets are
waiting — complete them to earn Hanko seal rewards that are never sold in the shop.
— Adaptive Music —
A calm base layer plays always. When you chain fast clears, a rhythm layer rises beneath it
— tempo-based, not combo-based. The music breathes with the board, not against you. When
things quiet down, it fades back gracefully.
Accessibility
Lotus Blocks was built for everyone. Every color is paired with a distinct shape and texture
— color-blind friendly by design, not by checkbox. Reduce Motion is fully respected:
animations defer to your system preferences. Screen reader support is active throughout.
— Offline —
No internet connection required. On a train, on a flight, during a tea break. Lotus Blocks
is there.
— THE MASTERY JOURNEY —
Your first game opens on a 4x4 board. Nine tutorial steps gently expand the grid — 4x4,
then 5x5, all the way to 8x8 — so you find your footing before the full depth opens. The
tutorial ends. The board stays. The real journey begins.
— WHO IS THIS FOR —
For puzzle players who want something quiet. For people who have tried every block game and
want one that respects their attention. For the tea break, the commute, the ten minutes
before sleep. Not a game that demands — a game that waits.
— TRANSPARENT ECONOMY —
Lotus Blocks is free to play. Gems fund cosmetics and the skill tree. No ranking wall,
no gameplay gate, no paywall between you and the board. Ads are limited and entirely
optional.
Sit quietly. Place the blocks. Clear the lines.
The lotus is opening.
