SplitGas gives every passenger an exact figure — calculated from the trip distance, your car's fuel consumption, and the price at the pump.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Calculate the total fuel cost for any journey using three inputs: distance (kilometres or miles), consumption (L/100km), and price per litre • Split that cost fairly among any number of passengers, from two people to a full car • Set the driver's contribution to a full share, half share, or nothing — because the driver's role is often different from a passenger's • Track your local fuel prices over time and see whether they are trending up or down, with a colour-coded bar chart and a summary of lowest, average, and latest prices • Use the built-in Trip Planner to estimate the cost of a future journey: enter the planned distance, your car's typical consumption, and an expected fuel price to see the full breakdown in advance • Browse your complete trip history, grouped by date, with the option to delete any individual record • Share a clear, itemised cost breakdown with your group instantly using any messaging app on your device • Switch between currencies including EUR, USD, GBP, and others; the app saves your last-used selection • Use the app completely offline — no internet connection is required for any feature

HOW IT WORKS

1. Open the Split tab and enter your journey distance in kilometres or miles
2. Enter your car's fuel consumption (L/100km) and the current price per litre at your local station
3. Set the number of passengers and decide how much the driver contributes
4. The exact cost per person appears immediately — tap Share to send a full itemised breakdown to everyone in the group

PRIVACY AND DATA

All data is stored locally on your device. There is no account to create, no login is required, and no personal information leaves your phone. SplitGas uses Google AdMob to display a non-intrusive banner ad and an occasional full-screen ad. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier in accordance with Google's privacy policy. No other tracking or analytics are used.
