Features & Capabilities

Exclusive access to an actively managed portfolio of ETFs. Follow the ETF metrics, risk ratings, portfolio management & performance. Guide to managing your ETF portfolio.

Welcome to model.p, a model portfolio of Exchange Traded Funds or "ETFs".

ETFs have evolved dramatically in the last two decades. They now come in many forms, from several providers, and cover most asset classes, increasing their variety and complexity. ETF selection can be daunting especially when markets and macroeconomic conditions are constantly changing. Today, access to ETFs has never been easier or cheaper. They trade every day on exchanges globally. If you have an account on a trading platform, ETFs can be bought and sold daily, at the amount that fits your portfolio.

model.p by Mit is an actively managed, model portfolio of ETFs. Its aim is to provide information and metrics on a selection of ETFs and act as a guide to building and managing a portfolio of ETFs. Enter the world of portfolio management and monitor how a live portfolio behaves and reacts to changing macroeconomic and market conditions.

model.p screens thousands of ETFs and follows a “watchlist”. It then selects a handful of ETFs and places them into asset class categories, blends their exposures across geography, sectors, and themes, and then optimizes their allocations. This step is “portfolio construction”.

An independent risk management framework provides a “risk rating” of each ETF and the total portfolio. ETFs are ranked from very low to very high risk (5 risk categories). While the ETF allocations are in place, it monitors how much risk each ETF contributes to the portfolio. As the macroeconomic environment changes and investor sentiment shifts, model.p adapts to the market cycle by rotating between ETFs and adjusting risk parameters.

When selecting and allocating to ETFs, model.p considers multiple viewpoints in its decision-making process, like fundamental analysis and technical indicators. model.p tags an investment rationale to each ETF and presents short notes on ETF rotations, market conditions, and the portfolio composition and risk levels.

Track the performance of model.p, watch the top and bottom contributors to the total portfolio return, and observe the relationship between market conditions and performance outcomes.

Build your knowledge of ETFs, skills in portfolio management, and most importantly enjoy investing!
