Verso is a small Italian-learning app for English speakers, built around a simple idea: you remember what you enjoy. Instead of streak-shaming you into tapping icons, Verso gives you real Italian to read, listen to, and talk about — calibrated to your CEFR level so the language stays comprehensible and the joy stays in.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• Read — Short bilingual stories from A1 to C1. Tap any word for its meaning; save it to your review deck with one tap.

• Listen — Native-voice Italian podcasts with a synced transcript that highlights as you go. Adjust speed from 0.5× to 1.5×; toggle the translation when you want a hint, hide it when you don't.

• Describe — Seven-second Reels-style scenes of everyday Italian life, each with one sentence narrated by a native speaker. Built for in-line, in-bed, waiting-at-the-bar moments.

• Chat — Practice in Italian with an AI conversation partner that gently catches your mistakes and suggests fixes, without breaking the flow.

• Review — A spaced-repetition deck that surfaces saved words right when you're about to forget them.

LEVELS

A1 (Beginner) → A2 → B1 → B2 → C1 (Advanced). A short placement test on first launch puts you at the right level. You can re-take it anytime, and Verso suggests when you're ready to graduate to the next level based on your progress.

PRIVACY

Verso stores only what's needed to run the app: your email, learning progress, saved words, and chat history. We don't sell your data, don't show ads, and don't track you across apps. Chat messages are processed by OpenAI (United States, under EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to power the AI conversation feature. Audio is generated server-side by ElevenLabs from our own scripts — no personal data of yours reaches them. Full details at get-verso.org/privacy.
