How to play: Start with the word at the top. Change one letter to make a new word. Keep going until you reach the target word at the bottom. Simple to learn. Genuinely difficult to master.

The challenge: The par system is unforgiving — it's calculated using the same algorithm that finds the absolute shortest path between two words. There's no luck involved. Either you find the optimal route or you don't.
