FUFU Journey is a Chinese classics learning app. Through short, focused lessons, interactive quizzes, and optional AI reading help, it takes you from the pre-Qin thinkers through Tang poetry, Song ci, Yuan qu, Ming–Qing verse, and the poetry of Dream of the Red Chamber and Journey to the West.

Classics and verse, from the pre-Qin era to the great novels

Courses include the I Ching, the Analects, Mencius, the Daodejing, the Art of War, the Great Learning, the Doctrine of the Mean, Zhuangzi, the Book of Songs, and Chu Ci, as well as Han–Six Dynasties poetry, Tang verse, Five Dynasties ci, Song poetry and ci, Yuan qu, Yuan–Ming–Qing literature, and verse from Dream of the Red Chamber and Journey to the West.

Read with Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Li Shangyin, Li Yu, Su Shi, Li Qingzhao, Xin Qiji, Lu You, and other major voices in the tradition.

Each lesson stays on one clear topic, with original text, notes, a modern rendering or translation, commentary or key terms, and a short quiz. Five to fifteen minutes a day is enough to move through the canon at a steady pace.

Some classics have standalone English courses, including Li Bai and Du Fu. Chinese and English progress are tracked separately and can be switched at any time.

Free users receive 100 fortune points each day. Starting a new lesson costs 10; a wrong quiz answer costs 20. Reviewing lessons you have already completed does not cost fortune points.

Sync across devices

Lesson completion, quiz scores, study time, the Mistake Book, and saved lines can sync via iCloud across your Apple devices. After you change devices or reinstall, your core progress can be restored.

Privacy

Core study progress is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud. When you use AI features, we send the lesson context needed for the reply, the conversation, and the question you type. In dialogue, we may also send a brief study snapshot (such as progress and titles of open mistakes or saved passages) so the reply can meet you where you are.
