InStock Kitchen turns the food you already own into "what's for dinner?" — with no account, no subscription, and privacy built in.

Snap or scan what's in your kitchen, and InStock keeps a smart inventory of your groceries with freshness and use-by estimates. Then it answers the question that actually matters: what can I make right now? Recipe matching draws on a built-in library of 200 recipes to show the meals you can cook with what's on hand, plus "almost there" recipes you're just an ingredient or two away from. When you cook, Cook Mode walks you through it hands-free.

• AI Photo Scan and AI recipe import run by default on our own private server, so they work well on every device. What you send is tied only to an anonymous per-install ID — never your name or email — then processed to identify your items and deleted, not retained. Never sold, never used to train AI.
• Prefer to keep everything on your device? Turn on Privacy Mode — nothing goes to our AI server; the app uses on-device AI or its built-in extraction instead.
• Your inventory, lists, and recipes sync through YOUR OWN private iCloud, so they stay between your devices — not with us. Delete everything from Settings anytime.

A NOTE ON DEVICE REQUIREMENTS (shown honestly in the app before you buy) Because AI Photo Scan runs on our server by default, it works on virtually any supported iPhone and iPad — no high-end hardware needed. If you switch on Privacy Mode or go offline, Photo Scan falls back to on-device AI, which needs more memory (best on 8 GB iPhones, a little slower on 6 GB — roughly iPhone 12 Pro / 13 Pro / 14 / 15 and newer). The optional smart text features use Apple Intelligence and need an Apple-Intelligence-capable device (iPhone 15 Pro and newer). Everything else — barcode scanning, manual inventory, recipe matching, Cook Mode, shopping lists, sync — works on any supported iPhone and iPad. The app checks your device's capabilities at runtime and tells you what's available before you ever spend a cent.
