Pick the apps that pull you in. Set the hours you want them gone. Pair with a buddy — a partner, a sober friend, anyone who'll actually hold the line. When you want to unlock, you write down why, sit through a cooldown, and your buddy decides. Half the urge is gone by the time they answer.

WHY THIS WORKS WHEN OTHER APPS DON'T

HOW IT WORKS

1. Pick your traps. Choose the apps and the time window through Apple's Family Controls. Your blocked list never leaves your device.

2. Hand the key. Send a 6-character pairing code to your buddy. From that point on, only they can unlock you.

3. Wait it out. Submit an unblock request with a real reason. Sit through a short cooldown. Your buddy decides on their phone.
