Features & Capabilities

CodClimb gives rock climbers a live 0–100 climbability score for hundreds of curated US crags — powered by real weather data, not guesswork. And the map keeps growing: climbers suggest new spots, and verified areas get added for everyone.

WHY CLIMBERS USE IT Every score is built from five factors that actually matter: temperature, rock dryness (hours since the last rain), humidity, wind speed, and cloud cover. Tap any crag for the full breakdown, an hour-by-hour forecast, and a 7-day outlook so you can plan the whole weekend.

COMPARE CRAGS ACROSS THE WEEK Deciding where to go? Compare up to three crags day by day in a color-coded grid, tap any day for the details, and use the hourly overlay to flip between score, temperature, rain, wind, cloud, and humidity — so you can pinpoint the exact window to send.

LOOK UP — AND PLAN — ANY SPOT Not every crag is in CodClimb, and new areas appear all the time — so check the live forecast for ANY location. Long-press the map, use the center crosshair, or type a latitude/longitude. Save spots as "My points" for one-tap reopening, with the same hour-by-hour meteogram and an 8–14 day long-range outlook. Arm any saved point for a date and time window with a purpose — hiking, skiing, surfing, a photo shoot — and get a pre-trip briefing and a rain heads-up. You can even compare your saved points right alongside real crags. (Saved points are weather-only — no climb score.)

MAKE THE MAP YOURS Choose what the map shows with the Layers menu — crags, your saved points, or both. Filter crags by discipline (sport, trad, boulder, ice), search by name or area, and tap a result to fly straight to it. Climbed a spot that deserves a crag? Suggest it — if it's added, you're credited by name on the crag page, and you've grown the map for everyone.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO Wall dryness and a drying countdown after rain Exposed-vs-overhang and sun & shade timing Rain warnings and a short-range nowcast An hourly meteogram that tells rain from snow at a glance Per-discipline filtering: sport, trad, boulder, ice More conditions at a glance: dew point, air quality, UV, visibility, and pressure trend

PLAN & GET ALERTED Set a score alert for your favorite crags, or arm a trip to get a day-before briefing and a short-range rain heads-up before you make the drive.

A REAL CLIMBING COMMUNITY See live condition reports from other climbers — rock feel, seepage, crowds, photos, and beta — and post your own after every session. Sort the feed by most liked or most discussed to surface the standout shots and the best beta, not just the latest. Share any report as a clean, branded card to Instagram, Stories, or anywhere. Get notified when someone comments on your report, and build a climber profile with your home area, the spots you've climbed, achievement badges, and links to your Instagram and TikTok so climbers can connect.

TUNE IT TO YOU Adjust how much each factor counts and set your ideal temperature range, so the score reflects how you climb.

Conditions change fast and forecasts aren't perfect — CodClimb helps you plan, but always judge the rock in person before you climb.
