Wayfindr is a conversational route planner for walking, hiking and trail running in the UK. Tell it the route you want in plain English and it builds one across footpaths, bridleways and trails.

Wayfindr works out the route, distance, climb and estimated time. No dragging waypoints around a map.

Tell Wayfindr where you want to start, how far you want to go and what matters to you.

Plan a local dog walk, a Sunday ramble, a family day out, a long hike or a trail run. Start from your current location, a village, a car park or somewhere you want to finish for lunch.

CHANGE ANYTHING

Not quite right? Keep chatting.

Ask for a shorter route, less climbing, a different starting point or a pub at the end. Wayfindr redraws the route while you watch, so refining it feels as simple as editing a message.

FOLLOW IT OFFLINE

When the route is right, start navigation.

A live GPS dot shows your position on a detailed topographic map and gently alerts you if you stray from the route. Cache the map before you leave and keep following it when mobile signal disappears.

There are no leaderboards, streaks or performance targets.

Wayfindr is built for real days outside, whether that means an hour around the local footpaths or a full day in the hills.

BEFORE YOU SET OFF

Public rights of way may be diverted, obstructed or seasonally difficult, and ground conditions can change with the weather.

Wayfindr plans routes using public rights of way data, but always follow local signage, check conditions before setting off and carry a paper map and compass on remote or high ground.
