RoamAndTick is a travel exploration and trip planning app for curious, experience-driven travellers. It combines real-time location awareness, itinerary generation, and a gamified passport system into one cohesive mobile experience.

Discover What's Around You :

Open the map and your surroundings come alive. Nearby monuments, restaurants, cafes, bars, and attractions are surfaced as live pins filtered to your personal preferences. Get within range of a landmark and a proximity card lights up — showing rating, category, and distance. Tap to check in, earn XP, and stamp your digital passport.

Plan Any Trip, Your Way :

Tell RoamAndTick where you're going and it takes care of the rest. Answer 12 quick questions about your travel style — pace, budget, companions, dietary needs, preferred start time, nightlife appetite — and the AI generates a full day-by-day itinerary tailored to you. It fetches top-rated real places from Google in five categories, enriches routes with live travel times, and even schedules mandatory day trips to neighbouring cities when your trip is long enough.

Flying in at night? The AI knows. Staying in a walkable city centre? It plans on foot. Travelling with family? It keeps evenings calm. Every detail feeds the plan. Prefer to build your own? The manual planner lets you search real places, tag days by city, and ask the AI for suggestions at any point — all with dietary and alcohol preferences enforced as hard constraints, not soft hints.

Your Digital Passport

Every country and city you physically visit gets logged automatically by GPS. Every monument you check in to joins your passport. The Cities Visited screen shows your full travel map — countries, cities, and the landmarks you've collected in each.

XP and Collection Sets :

Checking in earns 50 XP. XP drives levels. Levels unlock ranks from Newcomer to Legend. Across 12 curated collection sets — Ancient Wonders, European Gems, Asian Icons, and more. Each monument you find brings you closer to completing a set. The XP panel surfaces your ring, your rank, your sets in progress, and a reverse-chronological log of every check-in.

Map That Moves With You :

The Mapbox map tracks your live position, renders itinerary pins by day with colour-coded routes, and lets you tap any pin for details. A recenter button snaps the camera back to you. Explore Nearby Places launches from the map with your current location pre-loaded.

Friends and Leaderboards :

Search for friends, send requests, and see where you rank on the XP leaderboard — globally or just among your circle.
