AI SPELLING COACH

When a child misspells a word, the AI Spelling Coach analyses exactly what they wrote across every session and generates personalised tips to fix it. Pronunciation guides, mnemonics, word breakdowns, and pattern-specific techniques — all tailored to this child's specific mistakes, not generic advice.

HANDWRITING ANALYSIS

Children can write answers by hand on screen. AI vision reads what they wrote and gives immediate, specific feedback — not just right or wrong, but how their letters were formed.

FORMATION REPORTS

For early years children, a letter-by-letter formation grid shows which letters your child writes confidently and which need work — with coaching tips and thumbnails of their actual attempts. For older children, a fluency score, radar chart, and plain-language strengths and areas to develop.

FLASH MODE

Tap the Flash button and the word fills the screen — then disappears before writing begins. The digital version of look-cover-write-check. Parents can set the display time from 1 to 8 seconds per child.

HOW CHILDREN PRACTISE

Type, tap, speak, or handwrite — choose the input method that fits your child and the goal for that session. Multiple choice for warm-up. Handwriting for exam conditions. Voice for pronunciation-to-spelling mapping. Every mode can be toggled on or off per child from the parent settings.

All word lists use UK English spelling throughout.

PRACTICE MODES

Play — general practice from age-band word lists. Great for building confidence through regular sessions.

11+ Test — words curated for 11+ exam preparation. Focused and exam-realistic for fluent learners.

List Practice — photograph your child's homework sheet and words are extracted automatically — ready to practise in seconds. Or type or paste the list directly.

PARENT CONTROLS

Set a lock code per child so they can't change their own practice settings. Control which modes are available, whether trace guides appear for early writers, and which lists are visible. Everything configurable per child without affecting their siblings.
