CareHours is a care-log and pay-calculation app for home-visit care helpers. Agencies and shifts, late-night and holiday premiums, monthly PDF submission: all in one app.

MAIN FEATURES

Start and stop a visit with one tap Tap when you arrive: pick the client, press Start Visit, and the record begins. When you finish, choose the service type (personal care, home help), add a note, and save.

See the running visit at a glance (Live Activity) Elapsed time stays on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you can check progress with your phone in your pocket and end the visit with one tap.

Automatic pay estimates Set your hourly rate, late-night premium (22:00-06:00) and holiday premium, and estimated pay is calculated the moment a visit ends. Travel time can be included if you choose. Japanese public holidays (2025-2027) are detected automatically, so monthly earnings stay up to date.

Home Screen widgets Check this month's estimated pay and progress toward your goal from Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets at any time.

Annual income cap alerts Set a cap (1.06M, 1.30M, 1.50M or 1.60M yen: the annual income thresholds used in Japan) and see year-to-date estimated pay plus how much room is left. Colors change at 80% and 95%. Confirm actual tax and social-insurance conditions with your employer or local authority.

Recurring visit plans plus reminders Register a weekly visit slot per client and it appears in the Today tab on the day, with a notification before the start time. Starting a record from a plan is one tap.

Multiple clients, per-service rates Register each client with a name, care service category and hourly rate. If personal care and home help pay differently, set a rate per service type.

Per-agency totals plus payroll reconciliation The monthly report shows income totals by agency. Enter what an agency actually paid and the difference against your records appears automatically. Useful for payslip checks and tax returns.

Transport cost tracking Record transport costs per visit, total them monthly, and export them to CSV.

Voice input for visit notes On supported devices you can dictate visit notes just by speaking. They are automatically formatted into bullet points. Audio is processed on device only, never sent anywhere.

Service records plus visit history Review past visits by month and filter by client. Records can be edited, and pay is recalculated automatically after any change.

PDF and CSV export Export monthly records as an A4 PDF you can submit to your agency. CSV export lets you keep managing the data in Excel. Note: PDFs in the free version carry a watermark. Watermark-free PDF and CSV export are Premium features.

Siri Shortcuts plus Control Center Run actions such as "Start a visit in CareHours" from Siri or the Action button.

Safe iCloud backup All records sync to iCloud automatically, so your data moves with you to a new device. Recording works offline too.
