Doodly Drawing

Doodly is a studio with six different drawing modes, each producing a different kind of artwork. The Mandala mode mirrors your strokes across six, eight, twelve or sixteen radial axes — every line you draw becomes a flowering symmetry around the center. The Mirror mode is a simpler symmetry — one or two axes, vertical, horizontal, or both. Cleaner than mandala, still fun. The Sand Fall mode is a physics toy. Strokes you make are particles, and they fall. Tilt the phone and the pile tilts with you. The result is a heap of color settling at the bottom. The Flow Trail mode is a slow motion painter. Your strokes leave glowing trails that fade over a few seconds. The recording captures the gesture itself, and the saved output is a short looping animation of your hand moving across the canvas. The Spirograph mode is the procedural one — pick two gear sizes and a pen position, hit start, and the canvas draws a mathematical curve all on its own. Save the still image, or save the animated drawing process as a loop. The Frame Animator mode lets you draw frame by frame with translucent onion-skin guides showing the previous frame underneath. Up to twelve frames stitched into a looping GIF. Save your work to a library that holds three kinds of things: static drawings as PNGs, animated loops as GIFs, and in-progress experiments you can keep tweaking. Share what you made through the iOS share sheet — to messages, to Instagram, to Files, to Photos. A daily prompt suggests a mode and a palette each morning if you want one. Skip it any day. There is no streak. Made for the moments when you want to draw something but you do not want to commit to a thirty-step illustration.
