On your iPhone or iPad, Reviv keeps restoration grounded in local AI preparation you control: local AI readouts preview likely wear before you commit, local AI color steering stays in your on-device picker, and originals plus restored files each job stores remain in private app storage until you delete them—then those entries and files are removed locally. Reviv does not build biometric face templates or faceprints for identity services; faces are general photo pixels in a restoration flow, not collected as standalone biometric data.

Unlike generic AI photo filters, Reviv layers transparent local AI guidance on a family-archive path. Pick JPG or PNG up to twenty megabytes, pass local AI format checks, then read a quick local AI damage-style insight from on-device tone and sharpness sampling (scores are guidance only). A plain local AI summary notes fading, softness, staining cues, and portrait-area wear heuristics. Pick local AI color intent across Vintage Kodak, 1970s Film Grade, Showa Era, Natural Documentary, Classic Sepia, Polaroid Fade, Hollywood Primaries, Silver Gelatin B&W, Agfa Warm Print, and Cool Editorial; the sheet can pre-highlight from that local AI readout.

Phased local AI status lines mark conceptual stages during the run. High-resolution output then comes from a paired remote AI image model the app reaches through its service connection, using your local AI grade and the brief Reviv composes.

Results offer a draggable before-and-after divider, synchronized pinch zoom, and an optional heat-style overlay. Save to Photos or use the system share sheet. My Restores uses a month timeline; deleting clears local copies.
