Play FLAC, ALAC, CUE albums and more straight from your library. No subscription, no internet, no compromise on quality.
Lumiya — a player for your own music collection.
Lossless and hi-res with no transcoding, music recognition by sound, online radio, and honest audiophile processing — all in one player for music that lives on your device, not in the cloud.
Lumiya is for people who keep their music locally. Connect your folder and listen to your collection in the quality it was saved in.
All lossless and lossy formats
FLAC, ALAC, MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF, CAF. Played straight from the file, with no transcoding.
CUE albums
Support for classic image+cue rips — one large file is split into individual tracks automatically. Perfect for live recordings and compilations.
Hi-Res and bit-perfect
24-bit, 96 kHz, 192 kHz with no downsampling. Automatic sample-rate matching with iOS for connected USB and Lightning DACs.
Sound quality in plain sight
One tap on ⓘ on the player screen shows how the sound actually reaches your headphones: the source format, whether playback runs without resampling, and what happens over Bluetooth or an external DAC. Honest and clear, with no marketing fog.
Music recognition
Not sure what's playing nearby? Lumiya recognizes music by sound (powered by Shazam): title, artist, genre, artwork, and an "Open in Apple Music" button. Every match is saved to your history.
Online radio
Listen to internet radio stations right inside Lumiya: add a station with a stream link, and attach your own cover if you like. Lock-screen controls and the sleep timer work with radio too.
Equalizer
22 presets plus your own: 10 bands from 32 Hz to 16 kHz, ±12 dB range. Changes are heard instantly, with no track restart.
Loudness
At low volume your ears lose bass and treble — Lumiya gently lifts them so the sound stays full. Intensity is adjustable.
Subsonic filter
Cuts inaudible rumble below 25 Hz that only loads your speakers and headphones. The audible sound is untouched.
Crossfade
A smooth transition between tracks — the end of one blends into the start of the next, from 3 to 12 seconds. Gapless playback is preserved within albums.
Crossfeed for headphones
Channel blending makes long headphone sessions less fatiguing: the stereo image sounds more natural, as if from speakers. Three presets — Light, Medium, Strong.
Playback speed
From 0.5× to 2× with the pitch preserved — voices don't drift or squeak. Great for lectures, audiobooks, and podcasts. Controlled right on the player screen.
Volume normalization
ReplayGain support — tracks with different mastering play at a comparable loudness, with no jumps between albums.
Clipping protection
When the equalizer or Loudness raise the level, a limiter keeps the sound from overloading and distorting. It steps in only on a real threat.
Volume limit
Protects your hearing and headphones: the app never plays louder than the level you set.
Mono and balance
Downmix the channels to mono and fine-tune the balance — for listening with one earbud or with uneven hearing.
Sleep timer
Fall asleep to music — the player fades out smoothly after a set time or at the end of the current track.
Your own library
Import folders from iCloud Drive, an SMB server, or an external drive via Files. Lumiya groups tracks into albums and reads artwork, tags, and lyrics. A customizable home screen, smart collections "Frequently played" and "Long not played", favorites, and search.
Queue and playlists
Full control over the queue: drag to reorder, shuffle, repeat the list or one track, A-B loop of a segment. Create playlists, import M3U, add your favorite tracks.
Adaptive player
A large playback screen with a dynamic gradient from the artwork, AirPlay, and quick jumps to the album and the artist.
Lyrics
Built-in lyrics from track metadata, including line-synced LRC lyrics highlighted in time with playback.
Full privacy
No accounts, no telemetry, no subscriptions. The music is yours. The app works entirely offline.
