Tinct is a quiet calculator for fountain pen ink mixers — the kind of mixer who keeps a notebook, a syringe, and a small graveyard of jam jars on the desk. It does one thing: it remembers your recipes, exactly.

Add the inks you're combining. Tinct shows the ratios live as you tweak the drops. Slide to scale the recipe to any volume — 5 mL for a sample vial, 50 mL for a converter refill. Save it with a swatch photo and a line of notes about the paper and nib you tested.

• iCloud Backup (if you have it on) includes your recipes automatically. Restore your phone, get them back. • Export the whole library as a JSON file at any time — keep a copy in Files, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or wherever you trust. • Import the same JSON on a new device to restore. • v1.1 will add automatic sync between your iPhone and iPad through your own iCloud — still without us in the middle.
