Postcard Archive is a private, offline catalog for postcard collectors who care about the back as much as the front.

Photograph each card with the built-in two-sided capture flow. The app reads handwritten messages on the back with on-device OCR and quietly suggests the sender, recipient, origin city, and postmark date — you keep what's right, edit what isn't. An era classifier studies the image and proposes Pioneer, Undivided Back, Divided Back, White Border, Linen, Chrome, or Continental, so unknown cards stop being unknown.

Build a careful record of every card in your collection: front and back photos, location depicted, era, condition, publisher, series, stamp, postmark, themes, purchase source, estimated value, storage location, and notes. Pin down exactly where a card lives with structured Box / Album / Page / Sleeve / Drawer fields, and go deeper on the back with stamp notes, cancellation text, a postmark-confidence rating, and a postmark date. Browse a museum-grade grid, search by city, theme, or shelf location, follow correspondence across decades in the Relationship Timeline, and watch the Places country list fill in as your collection grows.
