Beside - AI Grief Companion

BESIDE

Grief doesn't keep office hours.

It hits at 11pm on a Tuesday. On the first birthday after a loss. In the cereal aisle when you see the brand they always bought. And in those moments, most people are completely alone with it.

Beside exists for exactly those moments.

Beside is an AI grief companion. Not a therapy app. Not a crisis line. Something that didn't exist before — a warm, patient presence that remembers your story, shows up on the hard days, and never makes you feel like a burden.

BESIDE REMEMBERS

Every conversation builds on the last. Beside remembers the name of the person you lost — and uses it. It remembers what you shared last time, so you never have to explain yourself from scratch.

THE DAYS THAT ARE HARDEST

You tell Beside which dates matter — birthdays, anniversaries, the holidays that will never feel quite the same. On those days, without being asked, Beside reaches out. Not a generic notification. Something personal. Something that says: I remembered.

YOUR PACE. YOUR TERMS.

Four tone modes let you choose how you need to be met today.

Just listen — quiet presence, no agenda. Help me process — gentle exploration. Distract me — leave grief behind for a while. I'm not okay — slower, softer, with human support always close.

A RECORD OF YOUR JOURNEY

After each conversation, Beside builds a journal — a visible record of your journey through loss.

ALWAYS SAFE

Crisis support resources including Samaritans (116 123) and the 988 Lifeline are always accessible within the app.

PRICING

Free for 7 days: Full access, no credit card required. £9.49 per month or £94.99 per year after your trial. (including VAT)

Grief is not a problem to be solved. It is something to be accompanied.
