Carpool Scheduler builds a fair driving schedule for your season from each family's availability. You set up the schedule, the families tell the app when they can drive in their own words, and a smart scheduling engine does the rest.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Set up your season. A guided setup takes about two minutes. Enter the recurring practices, add one-off games, and list the families.

2. Invite the drivers in your carpool. Each family opens your link in their phone's browser. No install, no account, no password.

3. Everyone describes their availability in their own words. "We can do most Tuesdays, but Fridays are hard." AI reads what they wrote, and each family confirms the result on a simple grid before it counts.

4. Generate the schedule. The engine assigns every drop-off and pickup for the season, and everyone can see who is driving when.

WHAT MAKES IT FAIR

The engine follows fixed rules, in order:

• It never gives a family a slot they said they can't do.
• It keeps trip counts even. Each drop-off and each pickup counts as its own trip.
• It follows preferences when they do not reduce fairness.
• It spreads the types of trips, so one family does not get every Friday evening pickup.
• It avoids stacking one family's trips into the same week.

The schedule is honest about the hard parts. If trips don't divide evenly, it shows who drives the extra one. If no family can cover a slot, it marks the slot as needing a driver instead of assigning it to someone who said no.

MANAGE THE WHOLE SEASON

The schedule stays put once it's made, so families can plan around it. When drivers trade a day, anyone in the carpool can record the change with a tap. The schedule shows what changed and who was originally assigned, and the trip counts update to match. The app drafts the group text for you, ready to send. Games get rescheduled and practices get rained out; you can add, change, or remove events all season, and the fairness picture stays honest.

CALENDAR

Each person gets a personal calendar feed to subscribe to in Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, with their own driving days marked. The schedule in the app is always the current one.

WHO IT'S FOR

Parents who organize carpools for school, sports, and other recurring activities. Organizing requires an iPhone. The families you invite just need a phone with a browser.
