Scan, split, settle. Take a photo of any receipt and Split's AI breaks it into individual line items. Tap a name on each item — pizza, drinks, the appetizer everyone shared — and Split allocates the cost (plus tax and tip) proportionally. No more spreadsheets, no more "wait, who got the steak?"

Quick Split — split with anyone, no signup needed. Just settling a one-off bill with people who don't use Split? Take a photo, tag who got what, and tap "Share." Split gives you a link to send via iMessage, WhatsApp, or any messaging app — your friends open it, see their share, and pay you back via Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal in two taps without creating an account. Perfect for restaurants, road trips, or any quick "let's settle this" moment.

Multi-currency, by default. Travel? Split detects the receipt's currency, fetches the exchange rate at the time of the expense, and shows each person their share in their preferred display currency. Settlements happen in the group's base currency — no FX surprises.

Per-item custom splits. Two friends shared an entrée? One person ate 70% of the pasta? Tap "Adjust" on any item to set custom shares — equal, weighted, or by exact amount.

Smart tip handling. Split distinguishes between the tip already on the receipt (treated as a fixed allocation) and any extra cash you left, so the math is always right.

Group balances and settle-up. See exactly who owes whom at any time. Tap "Mark as Paid" to clear settlements. Optionally connect Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal handles for one-tap deep-link payments.

Privacy-respecting. Split doesn't sell data. Doesn't track you across other apps. Doesn't run third-party analytics. Receipts are processed by an LLM (Anthropic Claude) for line-item extraction; details are in our privacy policy.
