Tag your keys, bag, laptop, and tools. Lose something and a finder just taps the tag to message you-privately. Lend, transfer, and track everything from your phone.
A digital identity for your things.
NFCFind turns any NFC tag into a lifeline for the things you care about. Stick a tag on your keys, laptop, bag, bike, pet collar, or tools. If something gets lost or borrowed, NFCFind helps bring it home.
WHY NFCFIND
No proprietary trackers, no location broadcasting. NFCFind works with everyday NXP NTAG chips, costs a fraction of hardware trackers, and keeps your personal information private from strangers.
HOW IT WORKS
- Stick an NFCFind tag on your item.
- Open NFCFind, tap your iPhone to the tag, and link it to the item.
- If your item is lost, anyone with a modern phone can tap the tag - the app opens if installed, or a private web page opens if not.
- The finder can message you through NFCFind. You see them; they never see your private details.
CORE FEATURES
Lost & Found
Mark an item as lost from its detail screen and choose what finders can see. Finders get a clean public page where they can message you and share where they found it. Your email and home address are never shown.
Lending & Borrowing
Stop chasing borrowed stuff. Lend in one tap - no request to accept, it's active instantly in the borrower's app. Set a due date, get return reminders, and when the item is back just scan its tag: the loan closes automatically.
In-App Messaging
Message finders directly inside the app, with the item name shown as the conversation title so you always know what it is about. New messages arrive as push notifications. Someone who scans from a browser can send you a one-way message; a finder using the app can chat two-way.
Ownership Transfer
Selling a bike or handing down a laptop? Transfer ownership in two taps. The tag, its scan history, and lending records move with the item, and the new owner accepts to take over.
Privacy by Design
Finders never see your email or home address. Your name and a masked phone number are shown by default - you can hide them in your privacy settings. Conversations are private to the participants, and messages are encrypted.
Notifications
Push and email notifications with per-category preferences: lost-item alerts, lending due dates, and transfer requests. Borrowers who do not have the app receive lending and return notices by text message.
FOR TEAMS & BUSINESSES
NFCFind organizations turn your phone into a shared asset tracker for a whole crew or facility.
Organizations
Multi-user teams with Owner, Admin, and Member roles. Share tags and items across your organization, with an activity log so you can see who did what.
Shared Items & Tools
Tag your equipment and tools, then share them across the org. Each item record holds a name, category, description, serial number, estimated value, storage location, notes, and up to five photos. Lend items to teammates with due dates and track their return.
WHO USES NFCFIND
Commuters, students, travelers, pet owners, parents, contractors, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, property managers, hosts, restaurants, makerspaces, film and AV crews, schools, warehouses, and IT asset teams.
