prayin is a christian screen time blocker built around a single mechanic: the apps that pull at you stay quiet until you pray.

you choose the apps. you set the schedule. when you reach for instagram or tiktok or whatever you doomscroll through, prayin opens first. a short bible verse. a guided prayer matched to how you're feeling. or your own words if you'd rather. say amen. the app unlocks for a window of time. your streak grows.

your rhythm is yours. set custom prayer durations from 1 minute to 30. add morning, midday or evening prompts. switch between guided prayer (we write it) and your own words (silent timer) anytime.

watch your prayer journey over 7 days, 30, 3 months, a year. current streak, total prayers, time with God, mood patterns. honest progress, no shaming. cross-device sync via your apple id so your streak moves with you.

we built it for the people who reach for the phone before they reach for him. for the season where scrolling feels like sin. for the day you want to start with the Word instead of a feed. for the habit you've been trying to build for a year. for the focus you keep losing.

how the prayer flow works:

first, prayin asks how you're feeling. struggling, neutral, amazing.

today's verse loads, picked to match that mood. real bible, NIV default, KJV / ESV / NLT selectable in settings.

then a prayer follows. guided (we write it for you) or your own (silent timer with the PRAY method on screen if you don't know where to start: praise, repent, ask, yield).

when you tap "i have prayed," the app you tried to open unlocks for a window of time (default 5 minutes, your call).

emergency unlock exists for the moments you really need to skip a prayer. your streak resets but no shame.

privacy is non-negotiable.

the list of apps you've locked stays on your phone, never on our servers. we use apple's family controls framework, the same one apple uses for screen time. no ads inside your prayers. no third-party analytics in the prayer flow. no algorithms optimizing for time-on-app. no selling your data. ever.
