The App uses a workout session on Apple Watch to keep sleep monitoring active while you are falling asleep. This may use more battery than usual. HealthKit is used to determine your sleep state using Apple Watch by monitoring your heart rate and motion. After sleep is detected and the session ends, both iPhone and Apple Watch stop active monitoring and return to normal state.
