Take turns placing X and O. Connect five — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — and the whole round seals into a wobbly little amoeba, colored with the winner's tint. Score a point, and a fresh round begins right where you left off. Over time, the field fills
with a small menagerie of amoebas, each frozen at the moment it was born.
