ENCRYPTION YOU CAN TRUST Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The same standard used by governments and banks. Your unique encryption key is generated once when you install app and only you ever see it. Save it somewhere safe, a password manager, a written note, anywhere you trust. We never receive it, never store it, and cannot recover it. If you lose it, your vault stays locked forever. That's the point.

KILL CODE Set a secret emergency PIN. When entered, Otherside wipes everything — photos, videos, passwords, cloud backups, settings. Configure the trigger from 2 to 8 attempts. To an observer, it just looks like a wrong password.

DECOY VAULT A second PIN opens a fake profile. If you're ever pressured to unlock, the decoy shows harmless content while your real vault stays invisible.

FAKE ALERT SCREEN Make the app appear broken. A decoy system error pops up before the unlock screen, and the dismiss button only works after a secret tap pattern. To anyone trying to snoop, the app looks crashed or inaccessible.
