LP Audiobook is a local-first player for the audiobooks you already own. Drop in your m4b, mp3, m4a, FLAC, or other files and listen — no account, no subscription, nothing leaves your device.

REAL CHAPTER SUPPORT • Reads embedded chapters from m4b files, including books split into multiple parts • Auto-groups files like "Book Name – Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3" into one continuous timeline • Jump between chapters from the player or the Now Playing card

BUILT FOR LONG-FORM LISTENING • Smart Speed quietly trims pauses longer than a second, without changing the narrator's pacing • Per-book speed from 0.5x to 3x • EQ presets for voice clarity, bass reduction, treble lift, and warmth • Per-book volume boost up to +12 dB so quiet narrators come up to a comfortable level • Auto-balance scans new imports and pre-fills the right boost • Smart resume rewinds 5 seconds after a long pause so you don't lose the thread • Sleep timer with end-of-chapter mode and a gentle fade

CarPlay is here.

• CarPlay: your library on the dashboard, with full transport, Now Playing, and chapter skip. • Resume now lands exactly where you paused — fixes a small backward jump some users saw on every resume. • Audio recovers instantly when switching between Bluetooth, speaker, and CarPlay — no more "playing but silent" moments during route changes. • Library: author sections are collapsible, with book counts at a glance. • Library: optional stats header in Settings shows total authors, books, and storage size. • Auto-import waits for all parts of multi-part books before importing, and asks before using cellular data.

WHAT'S NEW IN 1.3.5

Audio routing gets a refresh.

A new pill next to Chapters and Bookmarks shows where audio is going right now — CarPlay, Bluetooth, hearing aids, or speaker. One tap opens the standard iOS route picker. When wireless CarPlay reconnects but audio sticks to Bluetooth, a small banner appears with a one-tap shortcut to switch. Long-press the route pill to pin a preferred device for next time.

The EQ preset names and library sort labels now appear in every supported language. The Cancel button in long-running operations is also polished for non-English locales.
