WHEN TO USE IT • Heading home — let your family see your ETA without ten "where are you?" texts • Meeting at the park, station, or busy venue — drop a pin so they can find you in the crowd • Picking up the kids — share your location with the school or sitter for the next 15 minutes • Road trip with friends — keep everyone in sync without forcing them onto a tracking platform • Solo hike, jog, or late-night walk — share with a trusted contact, set a timer, peace of mind for them

HOW IT WORKS

1. Open the app, pick a duration (15 min, 1 hour, 4 hours, up to 8 hours).
2. Tap Start — DropWhere generates a short link like dropwhere.app/abc123.
3. Send the link by message, email, or any chat app you already use.
4. Recipients open the link in any browser. They see your live location, ETA to your destination if you set one, and your battery level. No app install, no account, no sign-up.
5. The share stops automatically when the timer expires, or you can stop it any time from the app.

PRIVACY THAT ACTUALLY MEANS SOMETHING • Sign in with Apple — we never see your name, email, or any identifying info unless you choose to share it. • Your live location is held in memory only while a share is active. The instant the share ends or expires, the location, destination, and any chat messages are immediately deleted from our servers. • A "share expired" tombstone is kept for 24 hours so late visitors see a friendly message instead of "Not found", then the entire share record is permanently destroyed. • No advertising. No analytics. No data sold. No data used to train any AI. • Delete your account from Settings — all your data is gone in seconds.

DESTINATION + ETA Drop a destination pin and recipients see your distance + estimated arrival time, calculated live from your speed.

PINNED MESSAGE Add a quick status that everyone sees at the top of the share — "Heading home, ETA 10 min", "Stuck in traffic", "Be there in 5".

TWO-WAY CHAT Recipients can reply right from the share page. You get a notification on your iPhone when someone messages you.

LOCK SCREEN, DYNAMIC ISLAND, AND APPLE WATCH The share countdown lives in your Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen — see the time remaining and viewer count without opening the app.

WHAT IT'S NOT DropWhere is not a tracking platform. There is no "always on" mode, no ability to share without the other person's consent, no historical location playback. Every share has a duration, the duration runs down, and then it's over.

FREE — WITH OPTIONAL PRO DropWhere is free. The core flow — pick a duration up to 1 hour, share a link, see a live location — will always be free.

DropWhere Pro adds: • 4-hour and 8-hour share durations (free is capped at 1 hour) • Unlimited chat history (free keeps the most recent 50 messages per share) • Same privacy promise — your location is still deleted the second a share ends

DropWhere Pro is $2.99/month or $19.99/year, with a 7-day free trial. Auto-renewable subscription. Cancel any time in your Apple ID account settings — at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid charges. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Your subscription auto-renews unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
