Features & Capabilities

New in 2.2: watch every lift climb. A progression graph charts your rep maxes over time, from the exact weights you logged. Built on the fastest plate calculator.

Stop doing barbell math in your head. And stop losing track of what you lifted.

PlatePal tells you exactly which plates to put on each side of the bar to hit any weight, drawn to scale, in your plate colors, using only the plates you actually own. And the Logbook keeps every session you save for good, then charts your rep maxes climbing over time.

LOAD (free) • By Weight: type a target and see the exact per-side plate breakdown instantly, with a to-scale barbell in competition plate colors. • By Plates: build the bar by tapping plates and watch the running total. Perfect for working up by feel, or answering "what's already on the bar?" • Both modes share one working weight, so switching keeps your number. Step by your increment, tap a recent weight, or enter a weight in the other unit to convert it. • When an exact load isn't possible, PlatePal shows the nearest loadable weight. • New here? A quick guided tour covers the essentials the first time you land.

WORKOUT (free) • Tap "Add to Workout" to log the weights you hit, grouped by lift, with reps and notes. • Warm-up ramps: tap the flame on a lift and PlatePal plans your warm-up, each step reachable by adding plates to the bar you're holding, from plates you own, with suggested reps. • Supersets: link lifts together and your sets are labeled A1, A2. Matching rounds collapse to "3 rounds" when you copy or share. • Mark warm-ups so they stay out of your stats, plan target reps, and record a missed set as 3 of 5. • Share as clean text to paste anywhere, or as a branded Card or Story image. PRs get a medal on the card automatically.

LOGBOOK • Every session you save is kept for good: a timeline of your training, and a page for every lift. • Rep-max records tracked per lift (1RM, 3RM, 5RM, and more), with the history behind each one. • See your strength climb: a Rep-Max Progression graph charts your 1, 2, 3, and 5 rep maxes over time for every lift, from the exact weights you logged. • Name a session anything you like, such as "Bench Cycle · Week 2," and it shows in your timeline in place of the lift list. • Hit a PR and PlatePal spots it the moment you save, and invites you to share it. • Reload any past session onto the Workout tab and run it again. • Browse your Logbook free: the timeline, PR trophies, filters, import, and export. Open any workout for its set-by-set detail, exact rep-maxes, and progression graph with PlatePal Pro.

IMPORT & EXPORT (free) • Bring your history: import workouts from Strong, Hevy, or SugarWOD (Beta). Barbell lifts import; skipped rows are itemized with the reason. • Back up your Logbook as a PlatePal file and restore it anywhere, or export a spreadsheet (CSV) for your analysis. • Import and export are free, Pro or not. Your training data is never locked in.

PERCENTAGES (free) • Tap "%" on the Load tab for a table from 20% to 120%, mapped to your exact plates for percentage programming. Every row shows the nearest loadable weight.

ASK SIRI (free) • "How do I load my barbell in PlatePal?" Siri asks your target weight, then reads back and shows the exact plates per side, using your gym profile's bar, plates, and units.

PLATE INVENTORY (free) • Set how many of each plate you own, or mark them unlimited for gym mode. PlatePal only suggests loads you can actually build.

MULTIPLE GYMS & BARS (Pro) • Save a separate setup (plates, bars, and units) for every place you train, and switch bars (Olympic, women's, trap, technique, or custom) per session.

PLATEPAL PRO • One purchase, yours forever: the full Logbook (any workout's set-by-set detail, exact rep-maxes, and Rep-Max Progression graph), multiple gym profiles, multiple barbells, custom plate colors, and custom app icons. No subscription.

Whether you're a powerlifter chasing a percentage, a coach setting up a rack, or just tired of plate math mid-workout, PlatePal gets the plates right and remembers every session.
