Features & Capabilities

Your child's toys, food and pets become the reading lesson. They point the camera, hear every sound in the word, and collect a sticker. Learning to read, inside a game.

Phonics Go turns real objects into reading lessons.

Your child points the camera at a cup, a teddy, a banana, a sock — and it instantly becomes a phonics sticker. The app shows the word, breaks it into pure sounds with audio, and teaches those sounds inside their own world.

Phonics Go requires a paid subscription.

WHY KIDS LOVE IT

They hunt for sounds around the house, build a sticker collection of their own toys, foods and pets, and hear every word come alive sound by sound. Instead of memorizing flashcards, they learn from objects they already love.

A child searching for the /sh/ sound suddenly starts spotting it everywhere.

"Shampoo." "Brush." "Fish."

They begin sounding words out automatically — because the game has taught them to think like readers.

BUILT ON THE PHONICS TAUGHT IN CLASSROOMS

Phonics Go follows the systematic phonics approach used in kindergarten and first grade classrooms, and supports phonics curricula in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Every recognized word is: — Broken into pure sounds — Read aloud clearly — Highlighted sound by sound — Saved to a personal sticker book for replay and review

Designed for early readers ages 3–7.

SOUND HUNTS: PHONICS THROUGH MOVEMENT

Kids don't sit and watch. They move, search, think and discover.

Each Sound Hunt challenges your child to find real objects containing a target sound — /s/, /ch/, /ee/, /th/ — turning the whole house into a reading lesson.

They see the word. They hear the sounds. They say the sounds. They physically find the object.

That's multisensory learning. And it sticks.

THEIR OWN STICKER BOOK

Every object photographed becomes a sticker. Kids build a growing collection from their own world, sorted by sound and by category. Tap any sticker, anytime, to replay the sounds and practice blending.

It feels personal because it is.

BUILT WITH PARENTS AND EARLY YEARS EDUCATORS

Phonics Go was built with input from parents and educators to support real phonics learning, not passive screen time. It complements what your child is already learning at school and makes practice at home something they look forward to.

SAFE AND CHILD-FRIENDLY

— No ads — Photos and child data are saved only on your device — Privacy-first design — No distracting menus — Built for independent exploration and parent-child play
