COMPATIBILITY • Generic OBD-II: any motorcycle or car that speaks SAE J1979 over CAN (most post-2008 vehicles). • BMW® motorcycles: the deepest support. Modern CAN bikes get reads, live data, coding, adaptations and service procedures: S 1000 RR / R / XR, M 1000 R / RR, R 1200 / 1250 / 1300 GS and RT, R nineT and R 12 families, R 18, F 750 / 800 / 850 / 900, K 1600. Coverage extends to the G-series singles, the C-series and CE scooters, the four-cylinder K bikes, the air and oilhead classics, and BMW-era Husqvarna. Pre-CAN K-line bikes get a dedicated legacy profile.

ADAPTER SUPPORT For the full BMW feature set, use a genuine STN-chip adapter: UniCarScan (UCSI-2100), OBDLink CX / SX, or the verified Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ all pass the extended-addressing and multi-frame checks that coding and service writes need. vGate iCar and most clones handle generic OBD-II reads, but cheaper ones skip extended-addressing, so BMW writes will not work on them. On pairing, Biketune shows the adapter's expected tier and can test every feature against your exact bike first.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT WORKS Depth depends on your bike and adapter: generic OBD-II reads work on most post-2008 vehicles, while BMW-specific writes need a BMW bike and proper UDS support. Try Demo mode and the in-app compatibility check before unlocking Pro.

PRIVACY Your garage, sessions and diagnostic data stay on your device; your VIN, fault codes and live readings are never sent to us. Optional Sign in with Apple enables iCloud sync of your bike list and adapter pairings through your private iCloud key-value store, not our servers. We use IDFA-free analytics and crash reporting to improve the app, with no ad tracking and no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
