Prox: Real Life Proximity Chat

Prox is live voice chat for the people physically near you. Open the app, complete a 13+ profile, grant location and microphone permissions, and Prox places you in a nearby voice room with other active users in your radius.

Use Prox for spontaneous, location-bound conversations at campuses, venues, parks, conferences, and downtown spaces. Your exact location is not shown to other users; they appear in a nearby list with username, avatar, and voice status.

Safety controls are built in: mute yourself, mute another user locally, block abusive users, and submit reports for moderation review. Prox includes in-app privacy and terms pages, account deletion from Settings, and no ads or tracking.
