NeuralKey – Digital Identity Wallet

NeuralKey is a secure digital identity wallet that puts your personal identity in your hands. Create and manage your decentralized digital identity (DID), store verifiable credentials, and authenticate with ease using biometrics.

What the App Can Do:

1. Digital Identity (DID)

• Create a Decentralized Digital Identity (DID): a self-sovereign identity not controlled by any central authority
• Choose a unique username linked to your DID
• Generate a cryptographic key pair tied to your identity

2. Profile & KYC Verification

• Register personal info: name, date of birth, gender, email, and province/state
• Upload a government-issued document: ID Card, Passport, or Driver's License
• Capture document photos through the camera
• Liveness/face recognition check to verify you are a real human
• Preview your full identity profile before submitting

3. Biometric Authentication

• Lock and unlock the app using Face ID or Touch ID
• Required for sensitive actions (arming device guard, exporting backup, etc.)

4. QR Code Login (SSI Login)

• Scan a QR code from a website or service to log in without a password
• The app presents your verifiable credentials to the relying party (RP)
• Works on any service that supports the protocol (consent-based)
• View full RP login history: see which services you logged into and when

5. Backup & Recovery

• Export your identity as an encrypted backup file
• Import a backup from a file
• Restore your identity from a previous backup
• Manage a seed phrase (mnemonic) for key recovery, stored with password encryption

6. Device Guard (Tamper Detection) This standout security feature turns your iPhone into a physical security alarm:

• Arm/disarm monitoring (requires biometrics to toggle)
• Configurable arming delay: instant, 30 seconds, or 5 minutes
• Adjustable sensitivity: Low, Medium, or High
• Auto-disarm timer: automatically turns off after 1 or 3 hours
• Detects physical events using device sensors:
  • Shake: someone shaking the phone
  • Tilt/rotation: phone being tilted from its resting angle
  • Fast rotation: sudden spin via gyroscope
  • Pickup/movement: phone being lifted or carried
  • Continuous displacement: sustained movement over time
• USB detection — alerts if a USB cable is plugged in
• Battery/charger detection: flags unexpected power connections
• Jailbreak detection: alerts if the device is compromised
• All tamper events are logged in a cryptographic hash chain, preventing undetected modification
• Logs are stored in an encrypted on-device database
• Runs as a background service, so monitoring continues when the app is minimized

7. Security & Encryption

• All sensitive data is stored in encrypted storage
• Private keys stored in iOS Keychain
• Personal information (PII) is encrypted separately before storage
• HMAC-signed tamper log integrity verification on every session start
