I really like this app and it's so easy to use. Please give it a try!

Now I’m going to be completely honest and transparent in this review. I will also preface that I’m a digital animation student and have used many of the popular animation apps and software. On a social media where someone was promoting this app, they offered a free premium code for 48 hours, which I decided not to use. I wanted to try this app as someone just finding it and review it with the eyes of someone new. As the title says, this feels like a really old school animation app, it’s not horrible but it takes some getting used to. The onion skin feature is wonky, where when you erase on one layer and go to another, the onion skin shows the erasure markings. Also you can only see the top layer onion skin, which totally throws off my key frames as I stopped doing straight ahead animation a while ago. You can’t select specific sections of a drawing and scale or rotate it, you can only scale the entire drawing. The pens actually feel pretty nice, there’s only a few to choose from and the smooth one is my favorite. The zoom feature felt a bit awkward at first too, that little hand in the corner is your friend. You are not able to move layers, and as a key frame artist who draws the key frames first and then goes in and does the inbetweens, you just have to hope the layer that you drew is in the right spot, you can’t even move copied layers which is a bummer. Also when you get out of your project and then go back in, your colors disappear and the brush sizes go to default, which wouldn’t usually be a problem but as far as I looked, I didn’t see a color picker tool. Overall, I did not finish my animation at the time of writing this review, it just took too much time trying to look past the onion skin erasure marks to draw the next frame. Also I ended up giving this review 2 stars because of all the ai graphics, as someone else said, for someone promoting an app geared towards artists, you probably shouldn’t have your brand focused towards generated art. I am glad I did try out this app though, as long as it took, it was surprisingly easy to understand the UI once I got used to it.
