Report.Track.Hold accountable.
Report potholes, garbage, traffic violations. Auto-escalate complaints to authorities. Scan government signboards. Build civic accountability together.
CitizenLens is a citizen-built civic accountability platform for India. When government channels are slow or opaque, CitizenLens gives citizens the tools to act together — document civic issues, draft RTI applications, contact the right authority, and amplify on Twitter and WhatsApp to build public pressure for resolution.
CitizenLens is independent — not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any government entity, ministry, municipal body, or public authority in India. All authority, road, signboard, and traffic-violation data shown in the app is community-compiled by citizens themselves, curated from publicly-available sources (government websites, news archives, press releases, RTI responses, and direct citizen submissions across 46 Indian cities), and clearly labelled "Community." The app also links out to public complaint, RTI, and grievance portals so citizens can file or verify with the relevant authority directly. HOW THE COMMUNITY MODEL WORKS
- Every entry — seed reference data or freshly contributed — carries a "Community" badge so you always know where it came from
- Any citizen can flag an entry as incorrect, outdated, or misleading; flagged entries are clearly marked
- Other citizens vote to confirm or dispute flags, so corrections propagate quickly
- Citizens contribute new authority contacts, road conditions, signboard scans, and traffic-violation reports — local accuracy comes from local citizens
