2 Words Daily is a vocabulary app for intermediate and advanced learners of English, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese, covering CEFR levels B1, B2, C1 and C2. Each day it shows exactly two new words, each with a one sentence definition, its part of speech, two example sentences, and natural pronunciation.

Everything is written in the language you are learning. No translations, because thinking in the language is the point.

TWO WORDS A DAY

Today's words sit on one screen. Tap a card to open it full screen, with example sentences, Listen and Save. Words advance once per calendar day, so missing a few days leaves you where you left off.

WRITE A SENTENCE, GET IT CORRECTED

Write your own sentence using the day's word and have it checked instantly. You get the sentence back written correctly, with the exact fix highlighted, a plain line naming what changed, and a short reaction to what you actually said.

The checking runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple Intelligence. Nothing you write is uploaded, kept on a server, or used to train anything. Feedback is written in the language you are learning, not your own.

This needs iOS 26 and an iPhone with Apple Intelligence. Everything else works without it. Five checks are free, then 2 Words Pro lifts the limit.

FAVOURITES

Tap the heart on any word, from today's card, its detail view or your history, and it moves to its own tab. A saved word keeps its definition, part of speech and examples, so it survives a level switch or a removed language.

FLASHCARDS

Run your favourites, or everything you have seen, back as a session of up to 50 shuffled cards. Tap to flip, swipe right for Got it, swipe left for Still learning, then take another pass at the ones you missed. Nothing is scored or saved. A review, not an exam.

HISTORY

Every word you have seen, in reverse order, grouped by the date it first appeared. Expand any entry for its definition and examples, hear it, or save it.

THREE LANGUAGES, FOUR CEFR LEVELS

English, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese, each a complete B1 to C2 course. 730 words per level, 8,760 in total. The three are independent word sets, not translations of each other.

Switch level whenever you want. Progress is kept per level and resumes where you left it. Add two or three languages at once and each advances on its own schedule, switched from the home screen.

PRONUNCIATION

Every word and example can be spoken aloud, using the best voice your iPhone has for American English, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese. Audio plays with the ringer on silent.

HOME SCREEN WIDGET

Small and medium widgets show today's two words. The app works out upcoming days in advance, so the widget turns over at midnight even if you never open it.

A DAILY REMINDER

One optional notification, at a time you choose, 8:00 AM by default. Nothing else will notify you.

WORKS OFFLINE

All word content ships inside the app. No connection needed to read, hear, save or revise them.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account. No sign up. No cloud sync. No analytics, no tracking, no third party SDKs. Everything you do stays on your iPhone, including sentence checking.

INTERFACE LANGUAGES

The interface follows your iPhone's language in English, Italian and Russian. Word content always stays in the language you are learning.
