GPX and Offline Use: BareGPS Ireland supports full GPX workflows, including recording your own track, importing tracks from elsewhere, and saving or sharing tracks when needed.

Offline map caching can help before a walk in areas where mobile coverage may be weak or inconsistent.

Location Use Location access is used only for app features that need it, including showing your position, Go To navigation, grid reference display, and GPX recording. Background location is used only during active GPX recording so your walk can continue to be recorded while the app is minimised or the screen is locked. Users permission is required in all instances.
