Features & Capabilities

Import a photo you love, line your subject up to the on-screen ghost, and shoot — so whoever's holding the phone nails the angle, framing, and pose. All on-device.

Recreate the photo you have in mind.

SaveMe is a camera built for matching a reference shot. Save a photo you love - a Pinterest find, a pose from a friend's feed, a place you want to remember the same way - import it, and SaveMe lays it over the live viewfinder as a translucent ghost. Line your subject up to the guide and shoot. Whoever is holding the phone can match the angle, framing, and pose you actually want, instead of guessing.

It feels like the camera you already know.

  • Swipe between Full Body, Half Body, and Seated modes, like the built-in Camera.
  • The framed viewport Auto-matches your reference's aspect and orientation, or pick 4:3, 16:9, or 1:1.
  • Floating zoom, a clean shutter, and a last-shot thumbnail to jump back to what you just took.
  • A soft rule-of-thirds grid and a level indicator help you keep it straight.

Get the shot, then keep the best one.

  • Each tap fires a quick burst and surfaces the strongest frames, so you are not scrolling through near-duplicates.
  • Fine-tune with simple sliders - brightness, shadows, contrast, vibrance, sharpness - plus fade and grain. Long-press to peek at the original; reset returns to the auto-tuned start. Everything renders locally.

Private by design.

  • Photo capture, scoring, and editing all happen on your device. Your photos never leave your phone - no accounts, no photo uploads, no cloud.
  • SaveMe collects anonymous usage data (via PostHog) to improve the app. It's not linked to your identity, and your photos are never uploaded. You can turn it off in Settings.
  • The reference overlay is a composition guide only. It stays on your device, is never uploaded, and is never baked into the photo you capture or save.
  • SaveMe only adds to your photo library - it never reads or changes anything else there.

What you will need

  • iPhone on iOS 17 or later
  • Camera access to take photos
  • Photos access (add only) to save the photos you take
  • Motion access to power the level indicator

What's new in 1.3

  • The recreation camera now looks and feels like the built-in Camera: a swipeable Full / Half / Seated mode carousel, floating zoom, and a cleaner shutter and bottom bar with a last-shot thumbnail.
  • The framed viewport Auto-matches your reference photo's aspect and orientation - or pick 4:3, 16:9, or 1:1 - so the ghost overlay lines up with your shot instead of being cropped to a fixed frame.
