StashMap is an offline-capable private fishing archive. Every entry is saved on your device first, so field logging keeps working without a connection. On first use, you are invited to sign in, but you can start immediately without doing so. After initialization, structured records and controlled photo/video copies are kept online for device changes and multi-device continuity, while a complete working copy and original media remain on this device. Existing local data from an upgrade is not uploaded silently before you confirm the new custody model.

Sign-in methods are used only to identify the same account, membership, and authorized devices—not for public profiles or social feeds. You can pause network sync, export a backup, or delete the server archive; pausing is not deletion. Encrypted sharing keeps its key separate from the ciphertext. Stopping a share blocks future downloads but cannot erase a recipient's saved copy.
